About Us

Gordon “Gordo” Petersen is a professional tennis coach with 30 years experience both as a tour tennis player and coach.

Gordon “Gordo” has been involved with Go Tennis International for the past 20 years teaching 3 to 6 year old children in Day Care Centres all around Australia how to play tennis using Go Tennis equipment modified for use by young children.

One of the advantages of “Gordo’s” Go Tennis International style of learning tennis is the development of many fine and gross motor skills as the children have fun playing tennis

The Go Tennis D.I.Y Kids Tennis Coach program is a step by step video program designed to teach YOU how to conduct a series of tennis lessons for children from age 3-6 year olds.

You’ll be absolutely amazed at how simple it is to teach ANY child AT ANY AGE how to play tennis.

When you become a Go Tennis Member you’ll have access to a series of videos of Go Tennis Lessons so you can learn how to teach your child a different skill each week.

Members can view the lessons anytime and as often as they want; remember, the more often you view a lesson, the better you will teach!

Teach Go Tennis anywhere: inside, outside, on lawn or a paved area. You do not need a tennis court.

Go Tennis is an ideal fun way to teach children:

Fine motor skills (eye-hand co-ordination, foot eye co-ordination, manual dexterity and ocular motor control) and
Gross motor skills (balance, body awareness, crossing of the mid-line laterality, major muscle co-ordination and spatial orientation)
While one on one is the ideal, it is recommended that no more than 5 children participate in each lesson.

To keep them interested, each motor skill is practiced by each child before proceeding on to the next part of the lesson.

It is also advisable that once you learn the motor skills practiced in all of the lessons, you vary the skills with each child participating in each lesson.

It is most important to ensure that each child learn the skill practiced. You may find it productive to repeat the lesson several times before proceeding onto the next lesson.
